Enhance Educational Materials in Canvas
Have you had a day you had a fabulous idea to design your course in Canvas but you don’t know how to do it? This intermediate-level learning management systems tutorial workshop is for you to attract students to your educational materials to increase sense of intuition and efficiency. It is without a doubt video production involved heavily in ASL course, one needs to be able to innovate Canvas. The workshop will focus on the essential steps required to plan, develop, and execute successful platforms such as, but not limited to, Panopto, GoReact, and other features available in Canvas. It will include a live demonstration of How-To and which platform is ideal for which intention.
Pauline is a Senior Lecturer of ASL & Interpreting Studies Department at University of Northern Colorado and is currently part time freelancing in Colorado. She used to be a Chair of the Carlstrom ASL-Interpreting Department at North Central University. Pauline holds a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership from Regent University; she is also a certified Deaf Interpreter. Formerly, she used to serve as an interviewer and rater for the Sign Language Proficiency Interview (SLPI: ASL) to two states. Pauline is actively with committees and organizations at local and regional levels and presented workshops to Interpreters, K-12 teachers and parents of Deaf children on various topics related to language, literacy with Deaf children and interpreting. In her spare time, Ballentine enjoys being the wife to her Deaf husband and mother of three Deaf children; watching sports, especially when her children are playing; reading; and cooking.
